History and medal information - British Cadet forces Medal. This medal is awarded to commissioned officers and adult NCO'S (Non Commissioned Officers) for 12 years service in the Cadet forces Army, Air or Sea cadets. A Bar is awarded for each additional 8 years. The reverse has a hand holding aloft the torch of learning.
