Ribbon Colours - Narrow Red stripe in the centre, with a narrow White stripe on either side, broad Red stripes at either edge and two intervening stripes of Blue.

History and medal information – This medal is known as End Of War Medal 1939 - 45. Sometimes called War medal 1939 45 (The proper War Medal is The WW1 version British War medal).

Issued - For All fulltime personnel of the armed forces wherever they were serving the and had completed at least 28 days service between 3rd September 1939 and the 2nd September 1945. Obverse side shows the Effigy of King George VI. Reverse side has a triumphant lion trampling on a dragon symbolising the Axis powers. This is the most issued medal for World War 2.
