Item - Genuine Miniature Medal in mint condition with ribbon.  

History and medal information - Instituted 19th May 1954. The QPM for gallantry has been effectively redundant since November 1977 when it was made possible to award the George Medal posthumous equivalent of the GM for police officers. The obverse (front) has the effigy of the reigning sovereign (H M The Queen). The reverse has FOR DISTINGUISHED SERVICE wrote on it.
