MINIATURE GULF WAR MEDAL 1990 1991 NO CLASP.

Ribbon Colours - Sand coloured broad central stripe flanked by narrow stripes of Dark Blue, Red and Light Blue. Respresenting the colour of the desert and the 3 armed forces Navy, Army and Air Force.

Item - Genuine Miniature Medal in mint condition with ribbon.

History and medal information - The Obverse has crowned profile of Queen Elizabeth II; Reverse has an eagle and automatic rifle superimpost on an anchor, symbolising the three amed services. The date of the Gulf War appear at the foot.  British Gulf War Medal awarded to the armed forces during the desert campaign of 1990-1991 to the 4th & 7th Armoured Brigades. Around 33,000 British men/women were deployed but only about 7,700 combatant troops received the bar (16th Jan-28th Feb 1991).
