Item - Genuine Miniature Medal in mint condition with ribbon.

History and medal information - A crowned four-pointed star with cross swords and a wreath of oak leaves, having the royal cypher at the foot and a central scroll inscribed AUG NOV 1914. Uniface, the naming being inscribed incuse on the plain reverse. The Star is awarded to British forces who had been under heavy enemy fire during the 5th August - 22nd November 1914 WW1. George V authorised that troops serving in France and Belgium were to be issued with this bar for their suffering and commitment to holding the front line. They also regularly attacked and probed the enemy in an effort to break the stalemate.
