Item - Genuine Full Size United Nations UN Medal in mint condition with ribbon  Comes ribboned with 6 inches of new ribbon.

History and medal information - United Nations Korea Medal 2nd July 1950- 10th June 1953. This is one of the rarer UN Medals as it covers a short peacekeeping conflict compared with ongoing peacekeeping duties elsewhere. Awarded when the North Korea/South Korea had a divide and South Korean troops withdrew their forces, after which the North attacked the south which caused the United States to Intervene. Awarded to British, American and Commonwealth forces who intervened and re-instated the divide under the UN Control.
