History and medal information - The Police Long Service and Good Conduct medal has been awarded since 14th June 1951. It is awarded for 22 years long service and good conduct for full time service in any UK constabulary. By a Royal Warrant of 1st May 1956 it was extended to other commonwealth forces Including Australia, Papua New Guinea and Naura.

Obverse - The effigy of the reigning monarch.

Reverse - A standing female allegorical figure of Justice, with scale in one hand and a wreath in the other.
