Item - Genuine Miniature Contemporary Medal in Good Very Fine GVF condition with ribbon.

History and medal information - Introduced the same time as the AFC it was awarded to NCO.s and men of the RAF for courage or devotion to duty while flying on active operations against the enemy. As a result of the 1993 review of Gallantry awards this medal has been replaced by the AFC which is now available both to officers and other ranks.
